Families, please remember that TalkingPoints is not an acceptable method for excusing student absences.

To excuse an absence, please use one of the following methods:

📞 Call the school to report the absence
📧 Email Amanda Fernandez directly (amanda.fernandez@hesperiausd.org)
📝 Provide a doctor’s note when your student returns to school

Please excuse your student’s absence as soon as possible so we can keep our attendance records accurate and up to date.

Students are bringing home an important information packet today. Please review the packet with your student and complete the following forms:

✅ Mode of Transportation Form
✅ 3-Way School Pledge

Please sign and return both forms to your student's 1st period teacher by Monday, 8/10.

Please note: The transportation schedule included in the packet has since been updated. Please refer to the attached, updated bus route schedule for the most current bus stop information.

🚗Student Safety Reminder🚗

The safety of our Spartans is our top priority!

Please remember that student drop-off is located in the back of the school. Dropping students off in the front of the school and having them cross through traffic creates an unsafe situation.

We kindly ask all families to use the designated drop-off and pick-up areas and encourage students to use the marked crosswalks at all times.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep our students safe each and every day. We appreciate your partnership and support!

🚌 Updated Bus Schedule Available!

Attention CMS families! Our updated bus schedule is now available. Please take a moment to review the schedule and locate the bus stop closest to your home to help ensure your student is riding the correct bus to and from school.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work to provide safe and efficient transportation for all of our Spartans!

As a friendly reminder, please bring a copy of your student's class schedule with you. We will not be able to print schedules during the event.

You can bring:
✅ The schedule you received during Drive-Thru Pick-Up
✅ A printed copy from Infinite Campus
✅ Your student's schedule on the Infinite Campus app

After-School Tutoring Begins Tuesday, September 15, 2026!

Need a little extra support with homework or classwork? Cedar Middle School's After-School Tutoring is here to help!

🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays
🕞 3:30–4:30 PM
📍 Room 15

Our tutoring program is available to all CMS students and offers personalized academic support to help build confidence and strengthen learning. Students are welcome to attend as needed or join us regularly throughout the year. Busing is available.

Please note: Students must remain for the full hour unless they are signed out through the front office.
