We have a fun filled evening planned for Thursday, October 21st for our CMS families. The CMS ASB and Parent Club will be hosting a Trunk or Treat & Drive-in movie night. Trunk or Treat will be from 5:30-6:30pm and the movie Hocus Pocus will start at 7:00pm. All of this will take place in the CMS main parking lot. Space is limited and only those families who RSVP will be able to attend, so don't wait to fill out the RSVP form. We are looking forward to a fun filled evening with our students, parents and siblings. Minimum day bus schedule for 10/8/21
Good evening Spartan families. This Friday, October 8th is a minimum day and all CMS students will be excused at 12:32pm. Please plan accordingly for this early dismissal. Bus times are posted on our Facebook and Instagram page as well as the live feed on our website. Next week, October 11th through October 15th is Fall break and there will be no school. We wish everybody a safe and restful Fall break and look forward to seeing all of our staff and students back on campus on Monday, October 18th. Go Spartans!

Good evening Spartan families. Although dangerous objects have not been commonplace or a point of concern at Cedar Middle School, we are aware that they have become a concern at other schools around the country and state. In an effort to be proactive and to continue to protect the safety of all of our students and staff, we would like to remind all students and parents that pursuant California education codes 48915(A)#2 and 48900b and California Penal Code 626.10(a)(1), dangerous objects are not allowed when walking to and from school, while on school property before, during, or after school hours and/or at any school event. Examples of dangerous objects include, but are not limited to, any and all types of knives, lighters, brass knuckles, pepper spray, mace, tasers, stun guns, vape pens, and/or devices usually marketed as self defense tools (batons, kubatons, tactical pens, monkey fists, etc.). Possession of these items, for any reason, could be grounds for Police citation and/or school discipline up to or including expulsion. Cedar Middle School and the Hesperia School Police Department want to provide the safest learning environment possible for our families. Good evening Cedar families. Students were issued progress reports today in their 4th period class. Please take a few minutes to review your child's grades and should you have any questions or concerns, reach out the teacher and or the counseling office. We also want to remind our families who drop off and pick up their child to please use the student drop off and pick up area at the back of the school. Parents will enter the main parking lot through the far west driveway and drive to the back of the school to drop off and pick up. Students should NOT be dropped off in front of the school on Cedar street. For the safety of all our students and community we ask for your cooperation in this important matter. Thank you.

Students were given a picture envelope today in their 7th period class. The new Delta variant seems to be spreading rapidly and we want to do our best to keep our students in school. One confirmed positive Covid case has the potential to remove several students & staff from school for quarantining purposes. Please be diligent is monitoring your child daily. Good evening Spartan families. This is a reminder that we have our Back to School Celebration scheduled for THIS Thursday, August 26th. We will have an in person event from 6:00pm-7:15pm. We will have a brief welcome at 6:00pm in the quad, and parents will be released from the quad to visit classes. We will also be sending out a virtual Back to School HUB via text message for those families who can't make the in person event or prefer to stay home. Good evening Spartan families. We would like to remind our families that it is imperative for students to eat a well balanced breakfast and lunch each day. We are excited to offer FREE breakfast and lunch for all students. Please encourage your child to visit the cafeteria to pick up their free breakfast and lunch daily. Also, any parent who drops off food for their child must have the food in the front office BEFORE the student goes to lunch. We will send a call slip for the student to report to the office to pick up their lunch at the beginning of their lunch. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Go Spartans!!

Good evening Spartan families. This is a reminder that every Wednesday is early out for our students. School will start at 8:00am and will be released at 1:52. Please be sure to plan accordingly on Wednesdays. Also, we would like to remind our families that the student drop off / pick up is located at the back of the school. You can locate the drop off area by entering the far west entrance of the main parking lot. For the safety of all our students, we ask that ALL parents use this area to drop off and pick up their child. Thank you. Go Spartans!
Good evening Spartan families. We are so excited to have our students back on campus tomorrow, 8/5. Please remember classes start at 8am and campus gates will open at 7:30am. Those students who have not received their TDAP vaccination will not be allowed to attend school until the TDAP vaccination is complete and the health office has record of the TDAP vaccination. If you have questions regarding the TDAP vaccination, please call CMS and ask for the health office. All books handed out at open house should stay home. Students only need to bring their fully charged Chromebook back and forth to school daily. New schedules for all students will be handed out during 1st period. The student drop off and pick up is located at the back of CMS, which you will enter from the main parking lot off of Cedar. For the safety of all students, please DO NOT drop students off in front of the school on Cedar Street. Students, please don't forget to bring your mask. Per CDPH guidelines, all staff and students must wear a mask when indoors regardless of Covid vaccination status. Lastly, students may bring combination locks from home for PE or use a school issued lock. Only combination locks will be allowed, no key locks. Students first day of dressing for PE will be August 13th. The CMS staff have been preparing and are eager to meet our new Spartans. Go Spartans!
