This is a reminder that there is no school THIS Monday, 2/13 and Monday, 2/20 in honor of Lincoln's birthday and Presidents Day. Have a great 3 day weekend and we will see all of our students back on campus on Tuesday, 2/14. Go Spartans!
Our 1st semester awards night is scheduled for Wednesday February 15th in the CMS cafeteria. All students who received a 3.0 or higher for first semester were given an invitation to attend with their families. Earlier this week, you received a message from me regarding some rumors of a possible weapon on campus. As with any rumor, we do our due diligence in investigating for the safety of all of our students and staff. Rumors and social media can often cause other issues between students as well. We ask for your continued support as we wind down the first semester of the 22-23 school year. We encourage you to talk with your child about the dangers of rumors and the conflict it can cause. Hello, this is Kelly Maxwell, Principal of Cedar Middle School. Este mensaje será repetido en español. Today during dismissal there was a rumor of a student with a weapon on campus. This led to social media posts which stated the same. School administration and District Police immediately handled the issue and I am happy to report that the rumor was completely unfounded. There was no weapon on campus and all students and staff were safe. I apologize for any concern that the unfounded rumors may have created.
