Good evening Cedar families. Students were issued progress reports today in their 4th period class. Please take a few minutes to review your child's grades and should you have any questions or concerns, reach out the teacher and or the counseling office.
We also want to remind our families who drop off and pick up their child to please use the student drop off and pick up area at the back of the school. Parents will enter the main parking lot through the far west driveway and drive to the back of the school to drop off and pick up. Students should NOT be dropped off in front of the school on Cedar street. For the safety of all our students and community we ask for your cooperation in this important matter. Thank you.

We would also like to remind our families that if a student is displaying ANY Covid like symptoms at all, please keep them home and contact the school nurse immediately for guidance. The new Delta variant seems to be spreading rapidly and we want to do our best to keep our students in school. One confirmed positive Covid case has the potential to remove several students & staff from school for quarantining purposes. Please be diligent is monitoring your child daily. Good evening Spartan families. This is a reminder that we have our Back to School Celebration scheduled for THIS Thursday, August 26th. We will have an in person event from 6:00pm-7:15pm. We will have a brief welcome at 6:00pm in the quad, and parents will be released from the quad to visit classes. We will also be sending out a virtual Back to School HUB via text message for those families who can't make the in person event or prefer to stay home. Good evening Spartan families. We would like to remind our families that it is imperative for students to eat a well balanced breakfast and lunch each day. We are excited to offer FREE breakfast and lunch for all students. Please encourage your child to visit the cafeteria to pick up their free breakfast and lunch daily. Also, any parent who drops off food for their child must have the food in the front office BEFORE the student goes to lunch. Good evening Spartan families. This is a reminder that every Wednesday is early out for our students. School will start at 8:00am and will be released at 1:52. Please be sure to plan accordingly on Wednesdays. Also, we would like to remind our families that the student drop off / pick up is located at the back of the school. Good evening Spartan families. We are so excited to have our students back on campus tomorrow, 8/5. Please remember classes start at 8am and campus gates will open at 7:30am. Those students who have not received their TDAP vaccination will not be allowed to attend school until the TDAP vaccination is complete and the health office has record of the TDAP vaccination. If you have questions regarding the TDAP vaccination, please call CMS and ask for the health office. All books handed out at open house should stay home. Students only need to bring their fully charged Chromebook back and forth to school daily. New schedules for all students will be handed out during 1st period. The student drop off and pick up is located at the back of CMS, which you will enter from the main parking lot off of Cedar. For the safety of all students, please DO NOT drop students off in front of the school on Cedar Street. Students, please don't forget to bring your mask. Per CDPH guidelines, all staff and students must wear a mask when indoors regardless of Covid vaccination status. Lastly, students may bring combination locks from home for PE or use a school issued lock. Only combination locks will be allowed, no key locks. Students first day of dressing for PE will be August 13th. The CMS staff have been preparing and are eager to meet our new Spartans. Go Spartans!

Good morning Spartan families. This is a reminder that we have our 7th grade open house scheduled for TODAY, 7/28, and 8th grade scheduled for TOMMORROW 7/29. All students with their last name beginning with A-L will come to the school between the hours of 10am and 12pm and last names beginning with M-Z will come between the hours of 2pm and 4pm on both days. Please remember safety of all of our students, staff and parents are a top priority and we will be following the CDPH guidelines which state masks MUST be worn indoors, so please plan on wearing your masks. Students may come anytime between their assigned hours. If you have not turned in your proof of vaccination, please do so during open house. Students will not receive their schedules if we don't have vaccination information on file. Also, bring your old Chromebook and charger to exchange for a new one. For those students who are unable to make the open house, you will receive your schedule, textbooks and exchange your Chromebook when school starts. Thank you!

All students whose Online Registration is complete by the first day of school will receive a special treat! Open House is this Wednesday and Thursday! Students will be picking up their schedules and textbooks, as well as exchanging their Chromebooks! We cannot issue a new Chromebook until you turn in your old one. 7th grade Open House is on 7/28 and 8th grade Open House is on 7/29. Students whose last name begins within A-L can come between 10AM and 12PM, and last names starting with M-Z can come between 2PM and 4PM.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 5th at 8:00 AM! We cannot wait to see all of our Spartans on campus again!

Good evening Spartans! It’s time to return your science textbooks. If you are in the A or B hybrid groups, bring your textbooks to the library when you are on campus starting tomorrow, Thursday, May 20th. If you are in the C hybrid group, you can drop off your textbooks in the front office. We are open 8AM to 4PM. You do not need to turn in your Chromebooks at this time unless you are leaving the Hesperia Unified School District.
