Please take a few minutes to talk to your child regarding his/her grades, sign the bottom of the progress report, and have him/her return it to their 1st period class. Good evening Spartan families. In an effort to paperless, HUSD has created a digital handbook that MUST be digitally signed by all students and their parent/guardian. If you have already taken the time to do this with your child, we thank you! We still have over 500 students / parents who have NOT read and signed the handbook. All students have received several emails from a DoNotReply email that will give step by step instructions on how to complete this digital signature. The annual haunted house is just around the corner. The parent club is asking for donations: duct tape, glow in the dark tape, cases of water and 20lb test fishing line. Please drop all donations off to the receptionist to receive a free item from the PTC after school snack sales. Go Spartans!
Good Evening Spartan Families. This is a reminder we have our Back To School Celebration scheduled for THIS Thursday August 29, 2019. We will have a BBQ starting at 5:30pm with a hot dog, chips and a drink for $3.00. There will be a short presentation / video in the cafeteria starting at 6:00pm and class visits starting at 6:20pm. This Thursday, CMS students will be participating in the Teen Truth assembly. All students were given a permission slip today during their 7th period. Good afternoon Spartan Families. In effort to go digital with our District Handbook, Parents’ Rights, and Media Release, all secondary students received several emails from "no.reply@hesperiausd" with a link to a digital copy of these documents along with instructions to have their parent/guardian digitally sign that they have received these documents. This process is required by law and doing it digitally saves trees and the office staff from having to manually checkoff each student as they complete the process.
Please remind students to complete this process as soon as possible. If they do not complete the process their gmail accounts will eventually be deactivated and we would definitely like to avoid that. If students have any problems or would like a hard copy of any of these documents, they can pick up a hard copy at the front office.

Cedar Middle School would like to remind our community that school starts tomorrow at 8:30am and students will be released at 3:18pm. For those parents dropping students off and picking up at the end of the day, we ask that you PLEASE use the drop off and pick up in the back of the school. Parents will enter the main parking lot through the far west entrance and drive to the back of the school for the student drop off and pick up. Student safety is a top priority and we ask that parents do not drop off or pick up in the front of the school on Cedar Street. Thank you and we are looking forward to an AWESOME year. Go Spartans!
Good evening Spartan families. Our open house was a HUGE success. We were able to check out many textbooks and Chromebooks. ALL textbooks that were checked out to students are considered home sets and should remain at home. Only the Chromebooks should be charged and brought to school each day. We are looking forward to and incredible year. Thank you
Hesperia Unified School District is pleased to announce that we will be using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all of our schools as part of our campus safety programs for students and faculty. All visitors, volunteers, and visiting staff will be asked to present a government-issued ID, such as a Driver’s License, state ID, etc. The Raptor system only checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded. The system is not connected to any other database such as the Department of Motor Vehicles, and information is not shared with any outside agency.
This implementation will help increase the efficiency in our offices, allowing District-approved volunteers to spend their valuable time in classrooms instead of in the front office. Thank you, in advance, for your support in enhancing safety in our schools.
