Per California Education Code 51931 students in designated grades (grade 8) will be participating in Sex Education lessons. Parents have the opportunity to review the curriculum ahead of time during the week of May 4th in the front office. Additionally, parents can opt their student out of the Sex Education lessons should they choose to do so. This can be done by completing the HUSD Sex Education Opt Out form and returning it to the school. This form is available in our front office, and it will be sent home with your student through their 8th grade science class on Friday, May 1st.
